After being suspected with various rumors, the first 3 Android smartphones from Nokia were finally officially launched at MWC 2014. Although it did not fully provide an experience like other Android smartphones because it was not equipped with Google service, this smartphone still attracted the attention of many people. Here we present the complete specifications of the Nokia X and Nokia X+.
- Design and Screen
Nokia X and Nokia X+ can be called as twin brothers because they both have the exact same design. Overall, these two smartphones have dimensions of 115.5 x 63 x 10.4 mm and weighs 129 grams. Just like other new Nokia smartphones, this smartphone also provides quite a lot of color choices, namely green, red, yellow, blue, black, and white.
In the screen sector, both smartphones carry a 4-inch IPS LCD type screen. Both have a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels with a density of 233 ppi. Overall, the color quality, sharpness, and viewing angle presented by this screen is quite good even though the touch screen sensitivity is not as good as other smartphones on it.
- Processor and Storage Memory
To support its performance, Noxia X and Nokia X+ are both equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1 Ghz processor. The difference between the two lies only in the RAM memory, where the Nokia X carries 512 MB of RAM while the Nokia X + is equipped with 768 MB of RAM. These specifications are sufficient to play standard games or applications for daily use.
Meanwhile, for storing data and applications, both smartphones provide 4 GB of internal memory. There is also a MicroSD slot to increase the memory capacity up to 32 GB. Interestingly, you will get a MicroSD card of 4 GB for free in the sales package.
- Camera
One of the shortcomings of the Nokia X and Nokia is in the camera. Yes, these two smartphones only provide a 3 MP rear camera. Even more disappointing, the camera is not equipped with an LED flash so it is not good for shooting in low light. Meanwhile, for those of you who like selfie photos, then you should be disappointed because these two smartphones are also not equipped with a front camera.
- Features, Connectivity and Battery
Because targeting emerging markets, Nokia X and Nokia X+ are equipped with dual SIM GSM features. For connectivity, these two smartphones provide Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and MicroUSB. As for the operating system, both run on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system which has been overhauled in such a way that it resembles the appearance of the Nokia Lumia.
Because it is not equipped with the Google Play Store, you can only download applications from the Nokia Store or from the Yandex Store. You can also still install APK-formatted applications downloaded from other places directly on this smartphone, although not all applications can be installed. Another feature offered by these two smartphones is the cloud storage capacity on OneDrive of 7 GB.
As for the battery business, both smartphones are equipped with a 1500 mAh battery. The battery is claimed to be able to last for 17 days of standby time and 13 hours of talk time on 2G networks and 11 hours on 3G networks.
- Price
Both smartphones are planned to go on sale in Indonesia in March or April 2014, but there has been no official release regarding the price. In Europe, the Nokia X sells for 89 Euros, or around Rp. 1.45 million, while the Nokia X+ sells for 99 Euros or around Rp. 1.6 million.
